TVET Policy eFora Web Conference 4

Greetings from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority!

With significant disruptions in the world of work and dramatic changes in the nature of jobs across the globe, there is enormous pressure in the TVET sector to step up its game to ensure that workers remain competitive and provide the means for social inclusion for the underprivileged and marginalized sectors. With the COVID-19 pandemic leading to even more abrupt and wide-scale disruptions, TVET became more crucial given the massive need to skill and upskill the workforce to adapt to these changes.

To this end, TESDA, in partnership with ADB, Bayan Academy, the British Embassy Manila, ILO, PBEd, and the World Bank is organizing the TVET Policy eFora Series  with the theme “Survive, Revive, and Thrive: Transforming TVET towards the New Normal and the Digital Future.” It involves discussions targeting different sectors in TVET, academe, industry, government, and others to exchange views and insights on initiatives, strategies, policies, and programs on technical vocational education and training (TVET) for economic recovery and in preparation of the Filipino workforce to the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).

The final and culminating forum of the Series, Web Conference 4, will focus on high-level policy presentations and discussions on TVET for global competitiveness, social inclusion, and economic recovery. it also includes the Philippine Launch of the ASEAN TVET Council as well as a declaration of key policy actions reflecting the results of the eFora Series discussions shall conclude the event.

In this regard, may we respectfully invite you or a representative in the TVET Policy eFora Web Conference 4 on 03 December 2020, 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm via Zoom.
