Dear Ms. Aquino:

Greetings from the Technical Education and Skills Authority (TESDA)!

TESDA Director General - Sec. Isidro LapeñaTESDA shall continuously perform its mandate of certifying the competence of the Filipino workforce amidst the Covid-19 pandemic adopting to the "new normal" state, thru the implementation of Portfolio Assessment. Portfolio Assessment is a method of gathering evidence wherein the competency is determined based on accumulated pieces of documentary evidence demonstrating the competencies of an individual over a period of time.

The program also aims to assess professionals, wage or self-employed and even those currently unemployed but who are trained and educated and have appropriate and relevant work experience.

We strongly believe that this program can widen its reach and may serve a large number of Filipino workforce through our industry partners and stakeholders.

In this regard, if you have members or workers who are interested, they may apply by submitting the scanned or digital copy of the requirements by email to portfolio.assessment@tesda.gov.ph.

The requirements are as follows:

1. Accomplished Self-Assessment Guide which can be downloaded through this link [click here];

2. Duly filled up Portfolio Assessment Form which can be downloaded through this link [click here] or use the attached Annex A (on actual signed letter in PDF format);

3. TESDA Consent Agreement Form which can be downloaded through this link [click here] .

4. Documentary Evidences:

a. Mandatory:

i. Curriculum Vitae/Resume;

ii. Certificate of Employment of at least 5 years in the qualification being applied for signed by employer for wage-employed; Certification from applicant for self-employed, attested by Barangay Captain, indicating the number of years of conducting business in the area or BIR Form Number 1701-A/F (Account information Form engaged in business and trade) or BIR Form 1901 (for doing business) or Mayor's Business Permit;

iii. Video Coverage of Work-relatd Projects showing the applicant performing/completing the tasks relevant to the qualification applied for. It must be unedited, clear and shall run not more than 20 minutes only.

b. At least two (2) of the following:

i.Work samples - items produced by the applicant relevant to the applied qualification/competencies;

ii.Award(s) or Commendation or licenses, Certificates obtained - honors or rewards or licenses gained relevant to competencies;

iii.Photos - showing the applicant performing/completing tasks relevant to competencies;

iv.Training Certificates/Workplace Training Records on completion of courses/programs related to the competencies/qualifications being applied for.
